YES! I forgot my password to my mrdeadfish account and I can't remember which email I used, either... so I'm stuck with this new one!

I wanted to ask you for some advice. Nancy was telling me how you make a lot of commission by putting your work up here. Is this true? I was thinking about putting my drawings, my stuffed toys, pictures and everything.

I don't know how to start!

Unfortunately this site is mostly a popularity contest. I'm in certain niches which like to see a certain type of artwork, I draw it, then they ask for more. I'm talking of course about the anime cat girls and stuff. Because there is a huge following of that genre, people want to see it more and then they ask you to draw their characters. It's not really very reliable, though.

I've also been on this site for over 7 years. It took me THAT long to start getting commissions and work from this place. It has contributed, but it was not the sole contributor. My personal site back in the day was mostly what did it, before Deviantart became popular. But now it's more about drawing what's trendy and seeing who will buy it.

Just post everything, and see what happens! Start by making your page look attractive and putting your best work on it. I have a couple people who watch my journal, I could write about you for some hits if you like
